In 2017, work began rehabilitating the JC Penney, the once booming Salem City landmark. Eight years later, the building has been restored to its original glory all while staying true to our original goal – to provide a place where the community can grow, learn, and connect to its history.

 

Breathing new life into the JC Penney property by opening its doors to teach preservation building arts connects the existing fabric of the building to the surrounding city’s history, as well as its future. We are so proud to welcome you to 225 East Broadway in historic, Salem, New Jersey.
